The Luxe Cantilever® Lite just got bigger

When we launched the Luxe Cantilever® Lite, it gave homeowners the signature two-post floating design in a lighter, more affordable aluminium frame, up to 4m × 3m. It quickly became the go-to for pool areas, courtyards and outdoor lounges.

Now it goes a lot further. The Lite is available in any custom size up to 7m × 3m, almost double its previous coverage, while keeping the lower price point and simpler installation that made it popular in the first place.

The depth stays at 3m. What's new is the length: the Lite can now run up to 7m along its two posts, so it can cover a full pool edge, a long alfresco area or a single carport.

How we did it

In a cantilever, every extra metre of roof puts more load on the two posts and the connection between them and the roof. Aluminium is lighter than steel, which is what makes the Lite quicker to install and more affordable, but it has always meant working harder on the engineering to get the same performance.

Our team has refined the Lite's frame and connection design so the aluminium structure can carry a longer roof safely. The result is a Lite that spans up to 7m without moving to a steel frame, so you get more coverage without the cost and installation time of piers and steel.

What fits under a 7m × 3m Lite?

At 21m², the Lite now covers most backyard entertaining needs:

  • A six to eight-person outdoor dining setting

  • A dining setting and an outdoor lounge side by side

  • A long shade area running the length of a pool edge

  • A side passage or courtyard entertaining area

  • A single carport

And because the Lite is still made to any custom size, it suits compact courtyards just as well as long runs.

A real single carport option

The bigger news for many homeowners is the driveway. A standard car is about 4.5m long and 2m wide, so at up to 7m × 3m, a family car, SUV or ute sits fully under the Lite's roof. With just two posts on one side, you can drive in and open the doors without dodging pillars.

The insulated roof panels are hail-resistant and keep the car noticeably cooler than a polycarbonate or bare metal carport roof. For a double carport or a deeper driveway, the Original and Max are still the right choice.
